Care Guide

Please observe the simple care instructions on the product to determine the proper laundering process. Our bed linens are made from natural fibers (cotton or linen) and over time and laundering these fibers will relax, meaning the bed linens will get softer and wrinkle less.

MACHINE WASHING

  • Machine wash in warm water, using a mild liquid detergent. Do not use a powdered detergent
  • Make sure the bed linens are completely unfolded before laundering (especially true for the first time you launder the bed linens)
  • Never use a detergent with bleach or optical brighteners
  • Do not use fabric softener
  • Make sure to completely dissolve the detergent in water before adding the bed linens. Detergent poured directly onto the bed linens can ruin the fabric

MACHINE DRYING

  • Gently shake out the bed linens to be sure they are not twisted or tangled before putting them in the dryer
  • Do not use dryer sheets (or a fabric softener)
  • Dry on the lowest setting. Do not use high heat.
  • Remove the bed linens while still damp, smooth and let air dry or iron
  • DO NOT DRY UNTIL BONE DRY. This is a common mistake and can damage the fabric, as well as cause the fabric to wrinkle significantly

IRONING

  • Use the settings on your iron for the correct heat for cotton (med/ high) or linen (high)
  • Iron while still damp, use a water spritzer if necessary to moisten the fabric
  • Do not use spray starch
  • Take extra care when ironing around hemstitching or embroidery

STORING

  • Store in a clean, dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight (which can yellow the fabric)
  • Do not store in a plastic bag or box
